The stock market was sliding again on Monday, without much in the way of bad news. After a rough month in September, several risks remain for markets in October, which can also be a historically bad month for stocks.
In morning trading, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 418 points, or 1.2%, after the index rose 482 points Friday to close at 34,326. The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite were down 1.5% and 2.2%, respectively.
